    Implementing a 500 kW PV Power plant feeding around 695 MWh per year into the grid In the touristic Island of the kingdom of Tonga, Vava’u.

    • 2013 – Install 500kWp grid connected Photovoltiac plant in Vava’u island in Tonga

    • Details

      The Project will result in reducing the cost of electricity for consumers in Vava’u and will reduce Tonga’s economical dependency to oil price fluctuations. This is achieved by:
      Feeding solar electricity into the grid reducing the cost of electricity to consumers, and
      Reducing consumption of 180,000 L/year of diesel.
      The Plant fullfills 13 % of the demand of the island.
