    Summary

    Calvert Investments is undertaking a project to produce new research and tools that will clarify how the Sustainable Development Goals relate to responsible business practices and to economic value. We intend to create accessible, user-friendly tools that will improve companies’ and investors’ understanding of how values align with value, thus prompting wiser allocation of corporate resources that will enable the private sector to contribute meaningfully to achieving the goals.

    • 2016 – 1. Map company non-financial performance indicators with U.N. Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) to illustrate how private sector activity helps to advance the SDGs, thus supporting both global inclusive growth and firm economic value.

    • 2016 – 2. Identify firms that are leaders and laggards in SDG advancement.

    • 2016 – 3. Produce report and publicly-available tools that convey research findings and SDG-ESG mapping for industries and companies in an intuitive, accessible way.
