Since 2006, through its ‘1 Pack = 1 Life-Saving Vaccine’ campaign, Pampers® has successfully donated 200 million tetanus vaccines, protecting women and their babies around the world from Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus (MNT). On September 28, 2009, P&G announces its commitment to donate a further 100 million vaccines by 2010, which will allow the protection of an additional 33 million women and their babies within 32 countries around the world.
Pampers® and UNICEF are aiming for no country to have MNT as a public health problem, where babies die from a completely preventable disease. One case of newborn tetanus is one too many.
For nearly 20 years P&G has been partnering with UNICEF in many different countries in a variety of initiatives to help improve the lives of the world’s children. Their support includes corporate contributions and creative marketing programs which raised more than $20 million for UNICEF over the past 10 years.
