The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is the focus of the political process to address Climate Change.
The United Nations Climate Change Secretariat catalyzes action by all to address climate change, minimize adverse impacts and stabilize GHG concentrations.
Under the guidance of the Parties, the UNFCCC secretariat provides the highest quality support to the intergovernmental negotiations and the implementation of the Convention, the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement by a range of activities, including substantive and organizational support to meetings of the Parties and the implementation of commitments. and to the mobilization of enhanced climate action by non-Party stakeholders.
The UN Climate Change Secretariat would like to engage with the private sector to access new knowledge, expertise, financing and broad reach – resources that are often critical to advancing its work.
The UN Climate Change Secretariat seeks to engage in mutually beneficial collaborative partnerships to promote and support climate action, allowing partners to demonstrate their social and environmental responsibility.
