The project is implemented in collaboration with a tour operator in Lao PDR and aims to provide alternative forms of income to mahouts and communities of Hongsa through the reconversion of logging elephants into community-based tourism. Improve the tourism market in Hongsa while reducing the rate of deforestation and improving endangered species conservation management.
