Promoting Public-Private Partnerships to Protect Non-Nuclear Critical Energy Infrastructure from Terrorist Attacks

  • Overview

This is a joint project between UNICRI and the Action against Terrorism Unit (ATU) of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). It aims to promote the establishment of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) to protect non-nuclear critical energy infrastructures (NNCEI), mainly from the oil and gas sector, from terrorist attacks and other hazards.

The project was designed to enhance prevention and preparedness and to foster a common approach between the public and the private sector towards protecting NNCEI. In this regard, UNICRI can offer its assistance in the creation of PPP, to facilitate the design and implementation of cooperative security policies and enhance response management solutions.
