Advocacy Project: Campaign Website

  • Overview

UNMAS is calling for proposals for the development of a online and offline campaign to increase donations to the United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund. An online donation gateway has been set up in collaboration with the UN Foundation (Donate @ www.UNMAS.org). The purpose of both the online and offline campaign would to be to both increase donation to this site and advocate for world free of landmines and un-exploded remnants of war. Successful proposals of mine action campaigns would exemplify the innovativeness and inclusiveness of the “Lend Your Leg Campaign” (http://www.lendyourleg.org). However, the proposals should highlight the impact of mine action and UNMAS in allowing children to return to school and their playgrounds, farmers return to their farms, and goods to reach markets. It will highlight the need to secure weapons and ammunition stockpiles so they do not fall into the wrong hands to further spread the scourge of conflict.
