Safe Birth. Even Here

  • Overview

Childbearing should always be safe, even in emergencies. The Safe Birth. Even Here campaign aims to make women’s health, safety and dignity a global humanitarian priority and mobilize action and funding to support women’s health in all humanitarian operations worldwide. The campaign aims to raise funds for health supplies, which can be donated through the “Safe Birth Even Here” website. The campaign also aids in facilitating donations of clean delivery kits, which provide basic birthing essentials for women unable to reach a health facility during a crisis or emergency situation.
The first Safe Birth Even Here event will take place on 21 September, 2016 alongside the United Nations General Assembly in New York. For more information, contact spb.office@unfpa.org.
