Providing Vocational Training for Marginalized Nepalese Youths

Providing Vocational Training for Marginalized Nepalese Youths

  • Overview

    Vision / description

This project aims to enhance the capacity of Nepalese youth by adequately training them in the areas of basic household work such as plumbing, electrical wiring, PV system installation and maintenance, general carpentry, painting and much more. Once students complete the provided course, we help them to use their newly acquired skills in their country by assisting them in job placement. Moreover, skillful manpower will amplify entrepreneurship that will further increase job opportunities in the country. This will eventually contribute towards minimizing youth migration in search of a job, as well as achieving the Government of Nepal’s’ (GON) goal of poverty alleviation by 2030.

    Project objectives

The main objective of the project is to reduce the migration of Nepalese youth for jobs abroad by:

    1. Providing vocational training to marginalized youth and women for their economic empowerment
    2. Providing job opportunities by creating a network with relevant stakeholders
