Demining Explosives in Pakistan

Demining Explosives in Pakistan

  • Overview

    Vision / description

In Search of Justice (ISJ) Welfare Organization is a nongovernmental organization working to advance social development for vulnerable and less developed people through designing and implementing various developmental projects.

    Project objectives

In South Waziristan agency, FATA Pakistan, residents (primarily children) face dangerous situations because while playing or walking through different areas, they encounter underground bombs, which result in death. In such cases, thousands of people have died in the last few years. As a civil society organization, we’ve received many requests from the locals who are seeking help to avoid this unfortunate situation.

    Our project aims to:
    1. Identify the places where these bombs are placed
    2. Raise awareness through campaigns in the community
    3. Place signs at identified locations and use machinery to work to extract those bombs
    4. Ensure that areas remain free of explosives through the use of proper equipment and resources
