SEED - SCHOOL OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND EMPLOYABILITY DEVELOPMENT

SEED - SCHOOL OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND EMPLOYABILITY DEVELOPMENT

  • Overview

    Vision / description

India has experienced a boom in its skills development sector. As a result, the Indian Government furnishes the vocational skills of youths, but simultaneously, placement is becoming a challenge for skilled youth. SEED encourages entrepreneurship development amongst skilled youth and we pair skilled youth and entrepreneurs in the ratio 70% : 30% through our network.

    Project objectives

We organize awareness and skills building programs on a regular basis and promote certain initiatives by the Government of India to encourage entrepreneurship. Our focus is more on tribal and rural India. Although we are already on this path, we believe that there is still more to learn. Collaborating with UN agencies (e.g. UNIDO, UNDP) will certainly help us to share best practices, success stories, and key findings while learning alongside developing countries.

    Beneficiaries

Marginalized and unemployed youth, as well as minorities and women communities.

    Current progress

We initiated this project on Feb 24, 2017, and to date, we’ve established 5 State Offices and 10 Training Centers in India. We are in the process of mobilizing beneficiaries.
