Ehmar Foods is interested in partnering with local entrepreneurs in communities around Africa in setting up food processing and packaging plants.
Our long term goal is to help protect and preserve annual harvests from local farmers.
The project will focus on food preservation through processing of mostly seasonal agricultural produce. Foods that are deemed to be vulnerable to contamination and decay due to lack of adequate refrigeration and other preservation methods will be prioritized for processing and preservation.
We are building food processing and packaging plants around rural areas of Africa. We endeavour to work with the United Nations through their Economic Development Projects, targeting Rural areas of Africa, in identifying viable food and agricultural produce that can be processed and packaged using products from local farmers. We are counting on tapping on UN expertise in dealing with local farmers and business groups around Africa to access raw material needs for our processing and packaging plants.
We are also interested in securing grants or low interest funds from the United Nations Capital Development Funds, United Nations Industrial Development Organization or any other affiliate agencies.Beneficiaries
Ehmar Processing and Packaging Plant will ensure that agricultural produce are naturally preserved, have longer shelf life which will in turn boost the community’s food production, creating more financial resources for the local farmers, more affordable foods for the consumers and the entire country, thereby preserving foreign exchange for essential imports.Current progress
Private Public Partnership arrangements are currently being discussed with representatives of Governments, however, Private Partnership is much more suited for our Projects.Project URL
